WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) launched a new web video “Failure of Leadership” showcasing President Obama’s lack of leadership with the Super Committee negotiations. With America’s debt now above $15 trillion, we need a president who is serious about getting our spending under control, not one who is focused on his own reelection.

“The Super Committee’s failure to reach a deal is because President Obama would rather campaign than lead in this difficult time,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
“This is another example of President Obama passing the buck on an important issue, taking no responsibility, then blaming someone else for its failure. Democrats like Senator Joe Manchin agree that the president needs to ‘step forward’ and take a leadership role in the process.
“Unfortunately, President Obama and the Democrats fundamentally misunderstand that America has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. If only President Obama would focus on America’s out-of-control spending, instead of his reelection, America could restore economic certainty.”
