Dear Friends of Jeff Denham:

As you may be aware, there is an organized effort by liberal Sacramento politicians and special interests from outside the district to recall Senator Jeff Denham because he refused to be bullied into voting for an unbalanced budget.

We are starting to get scattered reports of what appear to be some activists and paid professionals collecting signatures on recall petitions, so we are
firing up our successful "spotter" program which we used in Jeff's re-election.

There is an attempt by some Republicans to change the way electoral college votes are apportioned. Presently, California, like most states, has a winner-take-all method. That is: if a candidate for president gets the majority of votes in the state, that candidate is awarded all 53 electoral votes for California. This initiative, if enought signatures are collected to put it on the ballot and if the voters approve it in the June Presidential Primary election, would change California's system to a winner-take-all by Congressional District.
